    Just what I needed

I was so happy I purchased this and kept it in my vehicle. I thought I had 2 flats, but 1 tire was flat and 1 tire just needed air. Plus I was out in the middle of nowhere. I hooked this unit up to the cigarette lighter socket and within minutes both tires were pumped up and I was on my way. I like that this unit has 2 options to pump only air or pump sealant and air. The only problem that I had was because the nozzle screws down deep into the tire’s air valve to form a tight seal and allow the sealant to flow through without removing the stem, air escapes when removing the nozzle from the tire. Just inflate the tire higher than needed to account for the air you will loose when disconnecting the hose.

    Effective Emergency Tool

This is a review of: Slime 50123 Flat Tire Repair Kit (Digital)Rated the product overall as 4 Stars.Sheerness: 0 Stars – I do not understand the categoryThickness: 0 Stars – I do not understand the categoryStretch: 5 Stars. I am ASSUMING this refers to the hose I didn’t give Slime Overall Review 5 Stars because after using the kit, hubby let the person whose tire was fixed keep it should he needed the pump again. Therefore, I don’t know how the pump held up or if it still had the same pressure reliability for future needs. I also have no information about the tire repair process or how it worked with Slime Replacement Can. I’ve purchased several of these kits as gifts. My review is also my answer to a question and is included in Questions. My Testimony Review is a factual accounting of actual use of this product.Testimony: This product worked well on the tire of a Ford F-250. While traveling we saw a truck on the roadside with Hazard Lights blinking. The truck bed was full of furniture and boxes which were slowly being removed. The truck had a flat tire. My husband pulled over. The owner was never clear of the circumstances, but his spare tire, for whatever reason, was UNDER the furniture and boxes, and their destination was almost 200 miles away. We located a screw embedded in the center of the tire. The screw head was worn smooth to the tread and was not removed. Hubby got the Slime Kit and pumped air and Slime into the tire. Everything worked well. This tire took the entire can of slime, and the required tire pressure was achieved. My husband gave the kit to the man knowing the pumping feature was still valid. About 10 days later the man called my husband thanking him again. They made it to their destination which was 179 miles. They didn’t get the tire repaired for another 3 days and drove the truck around town. Final mileage on Slime was 209 miles. The man said he was impressed. He also commented he didn’t really notice any driving or steering issues with the Slime tire.My husband had no difficulty actually using the product. The power cord was adequate in length. The pump maintained steady pressure while using. The unit didn’t overheat or pause during operation. Yes, I recommend this product. Review written by LynKin

I’ve used the Slime before on other vehicles. I’m glad it’s water-based so it won’t mess up the TPMS sensors. Having it tie in with the the inflator will make a temporary repair much easier!

    Always have on hand

A friend told me about this and immediately bought. A flat tire up in the mountains after returning to my truck. Easy to use as it airs it right up. The nervous part is driving a mile or two making sure the hole is patched and the air holds, especially on dirt roads. Don’t leave home without it. I drive 125 miles home on it. Tire store just washed out the slime and repaired it properly.

    It Works!

Got this beast of a screw stuck in my tire one day. Not only did it seal the hole, it also put air back in the tire at the turn of a dial and power button. Hardest part was just waiting for the pump to complete its inflation to the recommended pressure, which took about 10-15 minutes to go from 0-41 PSI. Worth getting this kit to temporarily solve a flat in a pinch!

    For Emergencies Only

I had an expectation that I could use this routinely as an air compressor, in addition to having the option of performing a road-side rescue with the Slime mode. The pump is strong and fast, the pressure readout is useful, and the controls are simple. It stores all wires and hoses within itself very conveniently. But the connector on the end of the air hose is a soft plastic, which you use to screw onto the tire’s metal valve stem. It leaks air as you screw it on and as you remove it, so it’s hard to remove it without losing several hard-pumped PSI. But the real problem is I can tell that the screw connector is going to get chewed up by the metal valve stems if I keep using it. The hose is connected to the Slime tank, is destroyed if you Slime it, and is replaced as part of a new Slime tank. So they didn’t build that part to last. Use this kit for occasional emergencies only (whether air or Slime) and I think you’ll be very happy. Don’t use it for routine tire pressure adjustment.

    Worked for me

I watched a video comparing the various emergency tire repair “solutions” the green slime performed among the top of the pack.. so I was sold on that part of it.. but I was pretty sure installing it from a can wasn’t going to get the tire inflated enough to get to the shop. So I thought this would be a good solution.. and it was !! The tire was fully flat, rim to the ground. I put about half of the recommended inflation of only air first, and then put in the solution until I was sure it was empty.. then the rest to recommended pressure.. it worked great and able to get tire fixed

    The portable flat instant fix.

This is an awesome product. If you go outside to your car and have a flat or anywhere for that matter, allyou have to do is connect the plugs into a 12 v car charging socket and you are back on the road again. You can use the Slime 50122 sealant which is environmentally friendly or just air (how cool). You will eventually have to go to the shop to replace your tire, but this product will save your life until you do. So easy anybody can learn how to use this product. Do not forget to leave one in your car if going on trips. A must-have!

Priced well for what it is

In addition to it being a decent way to temporarily fix a flat tire, it’s also got an “air only” mode that makes it a handy tire pump if you’re out and about. I got one with my car and replaced it after having to use it. (I didn’t trust that the air hose wouldn’t gum up after using it and then storing it for years)At that price I’d much rather have the peace of mind to just use it once and replace it.

Any pump you have can fail – so I bought this as a second back up spare

I kept reading reviews and all these can fail if you are unlucky. Since it’s an emergency item, you don’t want to be that guy who writes a 1-star review (which can happen to any one of those pumps, btw) after it fails in an emergency. Since they are inexpensive, I just bought this one as a spare (back up) pump to have in the trunk. I do not plan on using the liquid – already threw it out. For a nail, it’s better to fix it with a tire repair kit using vulcanizing plugs – I’ve done it many times, even on the wall of the tire and drove another 25K miles on that tire with no issues. BTW, no tire repair shop would do that on the side wall of the tire – I think marketing is the main reason – they come up with rules to make you buy a new tire. And you can never buy only one – you always need at least two so the pair matches on the front or on the back of the car.

Has saved me and my friends

Purchased for peace of mind because I don’t have a spare or a pump. Works great! Rattles around a lot but gets the job done.My co worker ran over something and was completely flat. Used this to pump her up (only) and sent it with her to the local tire store. Much easier than putting on a spare! She was greatful!I picked up a nail, didn’t realize it, pumped up the tire with this thinking I was just low, drove 200 miles as planned. Later realized the nail and had the tire fixed. So glad I have this.

    Remember this product expires

I haven’t needed to use this so who knows. Cars used to come with a spare and jack. Now I must make sure my slime is not expired every year. Product has 2 year life but subtract supply chain time. Must decode code to know date. Decode info on website incorrect.Curious how well can would inflate a tire with car weight on it. Same for this little compressor, but its another chance.

    Good to have

My new car doesn’t have a spare tire and when I got it, many people told me to get a flat repair kit ‘just in case’. But did I listen? NO! Fast forward 4 months and I find myself on the side of the interstate with cars flying past me with a flat tire and no way to fix it. So I contact roadside assistance and sit there for over an hour until they can send a tow truck to get my car to the dealership for a new tire. With this kit I would have been on my way in 10 minutes. Lesson learned? Yes. I got home that day and immediately ordered this kit. I feel a lot safer now that I have it.

    Worked as needed

I came out one morning to a completely flat tire. Tried the air only option first in the hopes it was a slow enough leak that I wouldn’t need to resort to the slime. Was able to inflate tire to about half the recommended pressure before the pump just stopped working – I’m assuming that it just didn’t have the oomph to inflate the rest of the way. Still, that was enough to get me to a gas station where I filled it to the recommended pressure, then I headed to a repair shop to get the tire fixed (wasn’t sure half pressure would be adequate for the distance I needed to drive). Never resorted to the slime. One negative I do have is that when I was wrapping the 12V cord back up I accidentally dropped it and the end hit the ground (not from that high up mind); the entire thing shattered – pieces went flying everywhere. Would be nice if this was of better quality.

IDK if it works and hope to never find out.

My SMART Car, like many today, doesn’t have a spare or room for one.The car came with a pump and fix-a-flat stored under the passenger floor. I tried using it one day, but the tire didn’t fill. I had to call for a tow. This is carried in the basket I keep in the “trunk.” It looks better than the SMART Car kit. I hope to never have ti use it.If you do use this, take your car to a tire shop ASAP to get a cleaning and permanent repair.

Title: Disappointing Experience – Not Reliable for Long-Term Use

I had high hopes for the Slime 50123 Flat Tire Puncture Emergency Kit, especially since I drive a Tesla Y and wanted a reliable solution for unexpected punctures. Initially, it seemed like the perfect companion for my trunk, providing me with peace of mind for almost 6 months. However, my experience took a turn for the worse when my tire picked up a screw in a parking lot, causing it to lose air. The device worked adequately for inflating the tire on several occasions, which was a relief. But as I continued to use it, I noticed a significant issue with the connector’s thread deteriorating over time. This meant I had to constantly hold it in place with one hand while attempting to inflate the tire.Things went from bad to worse when I decided to utilize the built-in sealant to address the flat tire. Unfortunately, the sealant failed to perform its intended function, leaving me in a precarious situation far from a service center. With damaged threads and ineffective sealant, the device became essentially useless to me, forcing me to seek professional assistance immediately.Overall, my experience with the Slime 50123 Flat Tire Puncture Emergency Kit has been disappointing and unreliable. I cannot recommend purchasing it unless you’re willing to risk being stranded with a flat tire and without a dependable solution. Save yourself the trouble and invest in a more robust and dependable alternative.

So easy to use, and it adds piece of mind!

Let me start by saying that we have this item in all 4 of our vehicles. I was out of town and my daughter called me and said she had a flat. It was starting to get dark. I told her to run to the local auto parts store and buy this. She did, filled up her tire, sealed the leak and was able to take it to a tire shop the next day to get it fixed. I was so relieved. She has no auto repair skills, but stated that this was so easy to use. This product is sensor safe. Just tell the tire shop that you have a sealant in there and they will clean it out as well as the sensor. Also a great tire compressor. My buddies daughters’ car had a slow tire leak and her tire was about flat. I simply plugged the compressor in to the acc power source and filled up her tire. The next day she got it fixed. No need to pull out the jack, tire tools, take off the lug nuts, etc… simply plug it in, fill up and go. Well worth the money.

Single-use bottle and inaccurate pressure reading but I’m glad I got it. 🙂

As mentioned in the headline, the bottle is only designed for one application. I mean, the BOTTLE isn’t, but the contents are. I purchased it primarily for a lawn tractor tire I don’t want to spend $60 to replace, so I expect to get two uses out of it, but…I have a $20 air compressor that is one of those best-purchases-of-my-life things, but it’s pretty big, like shoe-box sized, so I really liked the idea of having a tiny one like this to keep in the truck, which I am doing. So far I’ve only inflated the tractor tires with it and, also as mentioned in the headline, the pressure reading on the unit isn’t accurate – also a plus of my old one – but I can “measure” by pressing my foot on the bad tire until the give matches the good tire, and if I use it on my truck, I’ll just remove the compressor and check with my digital gauge – a little hassle, but whatever.I didn’t realize until I had it that the sealant remains a liquid, so unless you park on the bad part of the tire, it goes flat again – it doesn’t permanently seal the hole. Maybe all these “repair” things work that way, though, or maybe that makes this type safer for the tire? Anyway, it’s good enough.Since it’s meant to only be used once, the nice zipper bag the kit comes in doesn’t fit the bottle with the tubing and fill-cap attached to it, but the compressor cord and tube all fit into the unit itself, so you could just keep the compressor OR buy refills of the sealant and keep it all in the bag. That’s what I’ll likely do unless I find something better.

    Poor inflator hose design

The act of unthreading the inflator hose off the tire stem lets 5-10 psi out of the tire. Exactly how much you don’t know, because the gauge on the inflator is no longer reading the tire pressure. For something that is pretty well thought out otherwise, package size, integration of storage, etc, you would think they would have spent more time on this core feature.

    Fits Camaro 5th Generation

I have not needed to use this yet, and I hope that I never do! I wanted to let people know that it fits in the Gen 5 (2010 – 2015) Camaro nicely. My Camaro does not have a spare tire in the trunk. Instead, the battery is actually in the trunk, and there’s a rectangular area for holding the tire repair kit. This tire repair kit DOES fit into that space for a nice replacement of the OEM tire repair kit. Just remember to check the expiration date of the slime and replace it when needed!

    True lifesaver

Bought this 2 years ago and I unfortunately had to use it today. As I left my campsite today I decided to go scope out other camp spots further down the canyon. Didn’t tell anyone in my group as it was a last minute decision, had no cell service, and far from a main road. So I’m suddenly alone and miles away from help with a flat and thankfully I had this kit in the car.It took quite a bit longer than 15 minutes, but far better than hiking for hours for help! When I tried to inflate the tire, air kept leaking out of the puncture site. I pull forward a few inches so the puncture was at the bottom of the tire which seemed to help the slime so it’s job. I had to let the pump cool down in the middle of inflation but it worked!!My next dilemma was I was 80 miles from home. All tire shops in the closet town were closed (Sunday’s in Utah are awful), so I chanced it and drove all the way home. Thankfully I made it safely!I can’t recommend this enough! More and more cars come without spare tires now a days so this is a must have!!

Works as expected… maybe better. Needs an illuminated gauge on the pump.

Tesla Model S has no spare, so this was a recommended product. Fortunately, I had it with me when I ran over a screw with my brand new winter tires. Use it as directed and it got me back on the road. Here are a few things I’d suggest:If you find the object that’s causing the leak (nail or screw), leave it in the tire if reasonable. Leaving the object in the tire does a couple things: 1 – Re-inflating the tire should be easier with the object minimizing the leak. Taking it out will likely create a larger hole and make re-inflating more difficult. 2 – The Slime should seal around the object as a temporary fix and the damage will be easier for a tire shop to locate. Ideally, you’ll want a professional fix for the tire.I took the screw out per the instructions and the tire shop ultimately couldn’t find the damage or a leak. So, no professional fix for my tire. But, it appears to be sealed and not leaking. So, that’s positive so far. Also, after putting the Slime into the tire and partially inflating, I carefully moved the car to rotate the leak to the very bottom of the tire until I didn’t hear the leaking anymore. This way, any liquid Slime would flow down and seal the leak. In my case, that seemed to do the trick. One thing about the pump – It worked fine and has a handy little light on it. Nice. But the gauge isn’t illuminated. I had to use it at night in the rain, holding my cell phone light over the gauge to check progress. The gauge absolutely needs to be illuminated.Good luck! Hopefully, this product sits in your trunk untouched for years…. But if you need it, from my experience, it works pretty well… so far.

Slime 50122 Flat Tire Puncture Emergency Kit

As a proud owner of a Tesla Model 3, I understand the importance of being prepared for unexpected situations, especially when it comes to dealing with a flat tire. That’s why I decided to invest in the Slime 50122 Flat Tire Puncture Emergency Kit, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations.First and foremost, the kit includes everything I need to quickly and effectively address a flat tire situation. The sealant provided is easy to use and effectively seals punctures up to a quarter-inch in diameter, allowing me to get back on the road without having to change the tire or call for assistance. The tire inflator pump is compact yet powerful, capable of inflating my Tesla’s tires to the recommended pressure in a matter of minutes. Its compact size makes it easy to store in my trunk without taking up too much space, which is a huge plus considering the limited storage space in the Model 3.One thing I particularly appreciate about this kit is its user-friendly design. Even if you’re not particularly mechanically inclined, you’ll find it easy to use thanks to the clear instructions provided. Plus, the included carrying case keeps everything organized and easily accessible when needed. In terms of performance, I’ve had to use this kit on a couple of occasions, and it has never let me down. Whether I’m dealing with a minor puncture or a more significant tire issue, the Slime 50122 Emergency Kit has been able to get me back on the road safely and quickly.Overall, I highly recommend the Slime 50122 Flat Tire Puncture Emergency Kit to any Tesla Model 3 owner or anyone looking for a reliable solution to handle flat tire emergencies. It’s a small investment that can save you a lot of time and hassle when you find yourself in a sticky situation on the road.

Good Quality But With a Weakness

Bought this for my Tesla model three, which does not come with a spare tire. Product is a good quality, and well designed. And it works as advertised at least as far as inflating a tire is concerned. I have not tried the slime part yet. However, there is one significant weakness. When attaching the nozzle to the tire valve stem, air escapes as you screw it on. As a test, the tire pressure was 40 PSI. As I tried to screw the nozzle onto the stem, Air escaped, and when I finally got it, attached, the psi had fallen into 22. I tried this one more time for the same results. However, I did find a crude workaround. Namely, I left a unit running while removing the nozzle and in this case, I only lost about 5 pounds. So I over inflated the tire by 5 pounds and by the time I’ve gotten the nozzle off it settled back to the desired psi.Another possible workaround for the Tesla model three is to remove the hubcap as that would give better access to the valve stem.Otherwise, I do like the unit and works as advertised and is well designed, and appears to be a good quality

    This thing is cool!

I don’t know if the goo works yet or not but I am impressed with the air compressor, gauge and easy of use. I can’t wait for a flat! Just kidding, but I’m not going to be as concerned now, that’s for sure!

    Worth It

Easy to assemble, use and understand. Even the bright green color is helpful to be seen while it’s working. My tire was completely flat, popped on with no problem and was filled in 10 minutes.

Put to use tonight on the way to work

Hit something on the highway that led to a nasty leak. Luckily I had this in the truck or I’d be calling for a tow truck the night before the 4th. Worked enough for me to seal and refill the tire to turn around and get home.

    Works as described

Saved my son’s puncture last Sunday night (EV with no spare). Got him back home safely that night which is most critical, and it was able to stabilize the tire pressure, but only after 2-4 miles of driving slowly for the slime to spread and to kick in. Next day he drove the car to a tire store (tire maintained pressure overnight which was great). The tire store was able to clean out the slime easily, and patch the tire in no time. No issue with the slime impacting the TPS monitor which is great.

    Hope It Works!

I bought this for my C7 Corvette which did not come with a spare tire. My initial concern was would the cord reach from the 12 volt interior plug to each tire. I checked and it easily reaches each tire. What I did notice however is that the air hose could have been longer. If your valve stem is at the top of the tire needing air the hose will reach but just barely. They should have made it an inch or so longer. I knocked off one star for that. I hope if I ever do have a flat this product will work as advertised!

    It looks good

I carry it in my trunk in case I get a flat. I haven’t had one yet. But I hope it will work if I get one.
